LACYD General Membership & Endorsement Meeting
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8

Join the Los Angeles County Young Democrats at our first membership meeting of 2012!
In addition to discussing what we have planned for the year ahead (including the upcoming California Democratic Party Convention in San Diego on February 10), we will be voting to decide LACYD’s endorsements in three hotly-contested primary elections.
On Sunday, January 26, the LACYD Executive Board met to interview candidates running for Assembly District 50, 51 and 59. After meeting with some very impressive candidates, the board voted to recommend endorsement in two of the races and we were not able to reach the necessary consensus to issue a recommendation for the third race. These are simply recommendations, however. The actual endorsement of the largest young professional club in Southern California rests with you, the members. Please join us on Wednesday, February 8 to help decide which candidates will get LACYD’s support. The meeting will begin at 7pm, with speeches by candidates and the voting beginning around 7:45pm (please show up no later than 7:45 to make sure you are able to vote). Though prospective members and LACYD alumni and supporters are welcome and encouraged to attend, only LACYD members in good standing will be allowed to vote in the endorsement proceedings. Please visit www.lacyd.org/membership.php to find out more about how to become a member.
Please send any questions about this meeting to LACYD President David Graham-Caso at d.grahamcaso@lacyd.org.
Thank you! We look forward to seeing you on February 8!
